Thanksgiving - Time To Give Thanks

Well, this past weekend here in Canada we celebrated Thanksgiving and it just so happens to be the last long weekend of the year. Time for family, friends, and lots of turkey with all the trimmings.

I have to wonder though if people remember what this day is all about or has it all been lost over the years of turkey dinners and family gatherings? I mean yes that is all part of it but do people really know and recognize what this holiday is all about? It’s a national holiday celebrated on the second Monday here in Canada as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest. It is also a time to give thanks for the loved ones in our lives.

I would like to take this time to give thanks to my amazing family. An extra special thanks to my beautiful wife and daughters for their everlasting love and continuous support, also for putting up with my crazy shit over the years. I love the three of you to the ends of the earth. Our families have been through quite a bit over the past couple of years so I am thankful for the support system that we have in place.

Perhaps this is the right time to reflect on the past year and what you have done and been through.

What are you thankful for?
