Megs Emerson Episode

In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Megs Emerson. She is a mental health and wellness coach as well as a yoga instructor based in Orangeville. In this episode we discuss everything from anxiety to mental health to the struggles of entrepreneurship and having a good support system in place.

"In 2013 Megs nearly died in a white water rafting accident. She was knocked from the boat and was stuck under the water unable to swim against the raging current of the Zambezi river. This  event changed her forever. She was suffering from an extreme stress responses  and  had PTSD tendencies. She became anxious all the time, afraid either her loved ones were going to die or she was.  Simple, every day tasks became very hard and it was at this point she had her first panic attack.

This launched her into the world of yoga, meditation, energy healing, reiki, crystals and eventually life coaching. Megs focused her efforts on working with women struggling with anxiety and PTSD, and most recently traumatic brain injury.

Today she is an accomplished  anxiety coach and yoga teacher combining her love and knowledge from her own life and certifications/courses in trauma, PTSD and thought work. Megs has healed her own everyday  anxiety and wants to be an example of what is  possible for others.

She lives in the countryside outside of Toronto, Canada in a home on the river with her husband and golden doodle. Her intention for her work is to help women overcome anxiety and reclaim their power.”
