In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Velicia Hill. Velicia is the owner/CEO, designer, and chief editor of Ms Hell Magazine. In this episode we discuss everything from modelling and living in Paris France to success and being ready for it to building grit and character through failure to inspiration and following your gut.
Velicia began her modeling career at age 18, modeling bridal gowns at the Dallas Apparel Mart. She moved to Philadelphia and was signed by The Reinhard Agency. From there, she went to Paris and ended her runway walking days in Miami. In 2000 with the birth of her first child, Velicia started her own maternity line & boutique-Hollywood Mama. To her surprise, the line and store was an instant success. Her line was in more than 30 maternity stores throughout the United States and Europe. In 2010 she launched MsHeel.com. A high heel store that was dedicated to lovers of high heels. In 2016 she opened her first boutique and closed it in 2018. In 2020 she released her first issue of MsHeel Magazine--a digital magazine all about heels. Where you'll find interesting, insightful articles, high heel editorials and interactive shopping pages.
