Mindy Altemose Episode

In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Mindy Altemose. My name is Dr. Mindy and I am an orthodontist that recognizes you need something different. I saw a need to end the confusion, embarrassment, and overwhelming feelings related to the orthodontist. When you walk through the doors of my office, you become part of my family. In this episode we discuss science, working with children, creating a unique dental experience, giving back, volunteer work, community and finding balance.

Dr. Altemose graduated magna cum laude from the University of Rochester with a B.S. in Molecular Genetics. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she completed her D.M.D. degree. While at dental school she received the Dean’s Scholarship, and graduated with an honors distinction in Community Service for her work with the Homeless Health Care Initiative. After dental school, Dr. Altemose pursued her specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University at Buffalo. During her three-year residency program, she completed her master’s degree in oral biology, researching the biomechanics of tooth movement.

Dr. Altemose has the distinction of being board certified by the American Board Orthodontics and is also a certified Invisalign provider as well as an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. She has a passion for creating beautiful smiles for children and she strives to provide the highest quality work while keeping her care patient-centered. Dr. Altemose is excited to be a part of the team here Children’s Dental Associates and her goal is to deliver clinical excellence, with unmatched personal service.

Dr. Altemose, her husband, and two children recently moved to the Greater Boston Metropolitan Area from Rochester, NY. They are looking forward to enjoying all of the wonderful culture that Massachusetts and its neighboring New England states have to offer as they watch their young children grow.
